Chiltern has one of Victoria's best preserved streetscape's which have been used in several films including Walt Disneys Ride a Wild Pony. Relics of the towns golden past can still be found in the Chiltern Box Ironbark National Park and Magenta Mine is well worth a visit. While you are there keep your eye out for the Regent Honeyeater, one of Australia's most endangered birds.
